Hearing your groanings from the grave temptations of the devil, grant you to understand how to resist the fierce wiles of the enemy: for the multitudes fill your cell, you cannot bear it zeal for unceasing prayer and contemplation of God, and the desire to return you to the world. Then the Lord himself will reveal to you the secret of life in Dus, the verb: keep your mind in hell and do not despair. This is an invincible weapon against the devil, burning passions and illuminating with the light of the humility of Christ. Likewise, we, having accepted this rule, gratefully cry out:

Rejoice, golden one, purified by the fire of temptation:

Rejoice, censer, kindled with a repentant flame.

Rejoice, for in the forsakenness of God you have thoroughly tested your soul:

Rejoice, for through faith and secret tears you have overcome the despair of your soul.

Rejoice, by fasting and prayer you have repelled the arrows of the evil one to the end:

Rejoice, great courage in the fight against the spirits of evil is revealed.

Rejoice, thou who humbly trampled all the wiles of the devil:

Rejoice, having taught us how to overcome his evil tricks.

Rejoice, you who bore the good yoke of Christ in your struggle with love:

Rejoice, for you desired to go to hell for all unrepentant sinners.

Rejoice, prayerfully affirming your mind, heart and will in God:

Rejoice, Mystery of God, who has yet tasted the earth of heaven.

Rejoice, O Reverend Silvana, preacher of love for the enemy and teacher of humility and prayer.
