Having a divine mind, you wisely renounced the worldly virtues of all souls and, despising the love of your parents, you flowed to the abode of the Studios, rejoicing: For you followed Christ, hearing from everyone:
Rejoice, treasure of Christ's love;
Rejoice, immaterial friend of the light.
Rejoice, imitate the life of angels;
Rejoice, turning away demonic insolence.
Rejoice, treasured vessel of divine inspiration;
Rejoice, thou who art God-forged against material addiction.
Rejoice, for thou hast received heavenly fire into the soul;
Rejoice, for you have chosen the best for all things.
Rejoice, pluck away the thorns of passion;
Rejoice, renew the field of souls.
Rejoice, creator of immortal fruits;
Rejoice, filled with incorruptible goodness.
Rejoice, like Simeon, the light of the Divine Mystery.
