“Lord, my God! Trust in You, save me from all those who persecute me, and deliver me. Let me not, like a lion, snatch away my soul; I am not the one who delivers, but the one who saves” (Ps. 7:2-3).
Satan, with his evil angels and servants, constantly persecutes, and, like a lion, tries to seize and kidnap the faithful, as the apostle says: “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). There is no other remedy against these enemies than fervent prayer with trust in God.
