“It is good for me, Lord, that You have humbled me, so that I may learn Your statutes!” (Ps. 119:71). We must admit from the heart that God shows us great mercy when He beats us with the Father’s rod of punishment, although our flesh is weak and sorrowful. For “the Lord disciplines whomever he loves” (Heb. 12:6). Therefore, we should not grumble, but thank Him for this.
