O Soul of mine, praise the Lord. I praise the Lord in my life, I sing to God my Father, until I am here. Thou shalt not find among princes, among sons of men, in them deliverance. When His Spirit goeth forth, it shall return into its own ground: on that day all thoughts of Him shall perish.
Blessed is he whose help is the Lord, who hath set his hope upon the Lord God: Who made heaven and earth, sea, and all things therein: Who keepeth truth for ever, who maketh judgment to stand by the wicked, who giveth food to the hungry. The Lord will bring down the proud, the Lord will enlighten the blind, the Lord will exalt the fallen, the Lord loveth the righteous.
The Lord will keep the stranger, the Lord will take in the poor and widow, and destroy the way of sinners. For ever shall the Lord be praised, O my God, in generation and in generation.
And now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Only-begotten Son, and Word of God, immortal, and having become incarnate for our salvation, did descend from the holy Virgin, and being both true and man, was truly united: then did God the Word suffer death by death, becoming the one only-begotten Son of the Holy Trinity, glorified by the Father and the Holy Spirit, saving us.
