Reverend Father, Blessed Adriana, the first of the sowing desert, the enlightener and the founder of monastic life in it, who came into the nude with the Angel of the Lord and sanctified the Most Holy Theotokos with the miraculous icon and grace, in which the bright mirror of chastity appeared in your deeds, a beautiful image of humility, an animated pillar of patience, a well-known rule of abstinence, a true lover of non-covetousness and poverty and an all-perfect saint of Christ! Behold, we sinners, humbly falling down, we pray to you: accept our prayers and offer them up on the altar of God’s mercy. By your intercession, ask us from our All-Merciful God for peace in the world, for the Holy Church, confirmation, agreement in faith, success in piety and Christian virtues, so that we may be worthy of the bounty and mercies of the Gracious God. Constantly guide your spiritual flock and your holy abode with the rod of spiritual wisdom.
Help those who strive, strengthen those who are weakened, raise those who fall, hasten to all of us to bear the yoke of Christ in patience and complacency, and guide us all in peace and repentance, end our lives and, with the hope of salvation, dwell in the blessed bosom of Abraham, where you joyfully rested after your earthly labors, glorifying with all the saints Trinitarian God, Father and Son and Holy Spirit, to the endless ages of ages.
