O our representative before the Lord and warm prayer book, Rev. Father Samone! See from heaven that we are perishing in circumstances and sorrows: for in our midst unbelief is added to apostasy and division, love becomes scarce, and lawlessness and temptations, illnesses and sorrows of many homeless, hungry and orphans multiply.
From where, father, let us receive strength, so that we can resist the temptations of the world, let us preserve in our hearts the love and faith of Christ and the hope of the Orthodox, and take care of the sick and poor, if you don’t intercede for us with your warm intercession, asking us for help from God in our weaknesses: preserve therefore with your prayers the blessings of the Christ-loving our sovereign, Emperor Nicholas Alexandrovich, the fortress of the Russian state, peace and tranquility of the Holy Church, protect us all and keep us steadfast in the midst of the infidels who blaspheme our faith, protect us from temptations, awaken the hearts of the poor to pardon the poor, warm the cold, feed the hungry and provide charity to the homeless, satisfy increase of sorrows and illnesses, famine and other troubles that hurt us, grant relief to the suffering infant, send down from the Lord strength, consolation and joy to women in the throes of childbirth, and to everyone in hard work, in hospitals, in imprisonments and prisons to the discouraged, so that we all glorify in the Trinity the glorified God, the Father and Son and Holy Spirit, forever and ever.
