O sacred head, reverend father, most blessed Abvo Gregory! Do not forget your children, whose godly labors and prayerful deeds you have spiritually given birth to: have mercy on us in your holy favorable prayers and edify your flock with your intercession, which you yourself have shepherded: pray for us, Holy Father, your spiritual children, as you have boldness towards the Heavenly King: do not be silent for us Christ, and do not despise us, who honor you with faith and love. Have mercy on us unworthy before the throne of the Almighty, for you have been given the grace to pray for us. Even though you passed away from us in body, even after death you remain alive in Christ. Do not give up on us in spirit, save us from the arrows of the enemy, from the charms of demons and the snares of the devil, our good shepherd. Behold, with the shell of your relics abiding with us, with your holy soul with the heavenly powers you stand at the throne of the Almighty and there you faithfully glorify the Lord.
Moreover, falling with tenderness, we pray to you for the salvation of our souls: ask us time to repent and pass without restraint from earth to heaven through the ordeals of bitter demons, so that by your intercession, having been delivered from eternal torment, we will be worthy to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven with all the righteous, who from the ages have pleased Christ our Lord: to whom belongs all glory and honor and worship, now and to the endless ages of ages.
