After three days, the saint’s body was taken from the gallows, a large stone was tied around his neck, and then, putting it in a boat, he was taken to the middle of the sea and thrown into the abyss. But instead of the holy body drowning in the waves of the sea, it, along with the stone, remained on the surface of the sea, and in the place where the boat was, a terrible storm arose, ready to swallow it along with the executioners. Seeing their inevitable death, the executioners returned to the shore with fear. With the onset of night, the relics of the holy martyr were found by Christians on the seashore, being, as can be seen, carried out of it by the invisible power of God, and with due honor they were buried.

The clothes left behind by the venerable martyr acquired healing powers. So several sick people were healed by touching them.

Through the prayers of the holy, glorious venerable martyr Luke, Savior of the world, grant us, too, to trample with Your help all the intrigues inflicted on us by the devil, a hater of good, and grant us, on the day of the Last Judgment, to stand at the right hand with all those who have pleased You. Amen.
