With a mind acceptable to God, as if touched by divine desire, you came to Mount Athos, and by virtuous living to the mountains you exalted yourself eternally, according to David, Nicodemus, hearing from us calico:

Rejoice, the lives of the saint are a treasure;

Rejoice, immaterial friend of the light.

Rejoice, monk of Athos;

Rejoice, confirmation of the pious of all.

Rejoice, knowledgeable of God, filled with heavenly thoughts;

Rejoice, mouth of the God-moving teachings.

Rejoice, for you have completely withdrawn from the world;

Rejoice, for in Athos you went to the mountains.

Rejoice, the faces of the holy communicants;

Rejoice, great teacher to the faithful.

Rejoice, thou who destroyest the thoughts of the enemies;

Rejoice, strengthening careless souls.

Rejoice, Father Nicodemus, Holy Mountains, glorious decoration.
