Inflamed with spiritual desire/ and rejecting worldly rebellions,/ diligently joined in love with God./ And seeking Him with all your hearts, you went into the inner desert,/ by the waters dwell, / where you lived in tears and labors for many years, / in the patience of many you lived the life of angels / in the instruction of the Divine Mind / and gathered many monks Thou art wise, / who, while visiting, do not forsake, / O Reverend Barnabas, our Father, / praying to the Most Holy Trinity, / / to deliver from all evils and save our souls.
